HOW IT WORKS

OUR GOAL

Our goal is to provide an alternative aid for thoes affected by visual and hearing impairments. We feel that these people are mis-represnted in the marketplace due to their disabilities. The visually impared and hard of hearing are constantly being challenged and our product should be able to make their life easier. Our main goal is to make a change in blind and deaf people's life for the better, if we can make lives easier that is Deaf primary goal. Our vision is to have every hearing and visual impared people to obtain our product. In the future we see every deaf and blind person using our product instead of other aids.

OUR STORY

Deafind is a company committed to improving the lives of the visually and audibly impaired. Our device can be worn as a waist or wrist band. The device itself gives off vibrations from all sides and incorporates the ability to translate a person’s voice into text for the hearing impaired to read. To accompany the visually impaired, the device can sense the location of objects coming into close proximity and vibrate on the side of which the object is at. With capabilities required for the blind and deaf on a daily basis, our product will increase the effect we could have in the blind and deaf community. With 15% of Americans reporting trouble of hearing, 246 suffer from low vision and, 39 million that have no vision at all. We hope to expand by selling our devices to insurance companies, shelters that work with the deaf and the blind to make these devices more accessible to the disabled.

TECHNOLOGY

We have improved this product so that it navigates the visually and audibly impaired. The Deafind wristband has motion detectors on every side of the wristband to aware our visually impaired users of their surroundings. Our detectors can alert our users with a gentle but noticeable vibration of whatever side from up to 10 feet. For our audibly impaired users the Deafind wristband is able to speak through the watch using our Deafind Wristband app. Also, we have put in a new, longer-lasting battery. We have more variety of sizes and colors. Our wristband has a sleep button to allow vibrations to go on sleep mode. The wristband has the ability to detect when the person has started walking so it automatically turns back on from sleep mode. We will reach out to insurance associations in order to help more disabled people get a grasp of our innovative technology that could better the lives of them as well as the caretakers.
